I foster kittens, something I started to do when I lost my own kitten, Sherlock. My first set of kittens I named after him; Holmes and Watson. As of last weekend they both found their forever-homes. This is Watson with a very important message for today. Many pets go missing during the celebrations because they get scared from the fireworks. With us humans traveling between our kitchens and outside grills, it is easy to misplace where our furry family members are. Please make sure your animals are safely stowed away, or at the very least their tags are up to date with current information. My Sherlock was micro-chipped and because of this the shelter was able to call me as soon as he was found. Sadly he did not make it but many more animals become shelter-bound because they were not chipped and their collars came loose in their fright. At many shelters it is only $10 to chip your pet but it is worth more than anything to see the return of your fuzzy loved one.
Take care of the pets in your life and have a wonderful 4th July! Please pass this on if you can to help spread the word <3
Thanks! I have been lucky and all my foster kittens have been cute so far. Makes giving them back kinda hard but they all find good homes to go to which makes me feel better.
