I was digging around in my folder for a sketch I've lost somewhere when I found this. Sadly, the events of Cata killed the guild but some of the guildies still play but more casual. Slane was one of the best 25man raiding guilds on SilverHand, often getting server firsts and the like. They started up in Vanilla WoW and had quite a track record! I learned how to raid in this guild and have many fond memories with them. I'm throwing this up here now in memory of Slane Baanrit and it's members.

HOLY CRAP! I used to fight you guys all day in Vanilla! Even before the honor system.
Man, I love you guys. All that's left of my guild (Darkspear Voodoo) is me, my sister, and my brother in law.

Sadly Cata murdered most of the best guilds

it just seems to always happen that way! I never know why. I was in a great 25man guild, which crumbled. And my previous 25man went casual. Terrible stuff. It's difficult for guilds in cata given that 10mans were much easier to do

Yeah it killed my ex-guild though the guild leader there is still in denial. I'm in a 10man guild now and I have to admit, it's nice to not have to rely on 25 people to actually show up on time so that we can go >_>
